An AI agent for reels should remember the product between runs: the offer, the words you use, and the words you will not say. A one-off button forgets you every time and writes like a stranger. You still approve the file. The agent does not get to post it, and it does not get to invent a person to present it.

A button that cuts a video is not an agent. An agent is only useful if it already knows how the product talks and what it is not allowed to promise.

## What agent means here

In this job, agent means a system that keeps state. It has read the site. It has a style you can open and edit. The next reel starts from that memory instead of from an empty prompt. If you have to paste the homepage into the box every Monday, you do not have an agent. You have a form.

Memory is also a risk. A wrong sentence in the profile will show up in every caption until you delete it. The useful agent shows you the memory and lets you remove a line. A hidden prompt you cannot see is not a voice. It is a guess.

## What a one-off button does instead

A one-off reel button takes a file and returns clips. That can be enough when you only want the silences removed and you will write every line yourself. It is a poor fit when the caption is the marketing, because the button has never seen a post you were proud of. It will reach for the same hooks everyone else got that week.

You can feel the difference in the nouns. An agent that knows you says the name of the feature, the integration, or the objection your customers repeat. A button says 'game-changer,' 'seamless,' and 'unlock.' Those words are the tell that nothing was remembered.

```
Same moment. Two captions.
One-off button
"Unlock seamless productivity with our all-in-one platform."
Agent that has read the site
"The Friday invoice used to wait until Monday. It goes out when the call ends."
The second line is only possible if the product's actual story was stored. The first line is possible for any company.
```

## What the agent should already know

It should know the offer in one sentence, who it is for, and one proof you are willing to repeat. It should know the difference between the founder's voice and the product's voice, so a reel does not say 'I' when the brand says 'we.' It should know a short never-say list. If 'revolutionize' is on that list, it should not appear because the model was feeling enthusiastic.

It should not know your customers' private data, your unreleased pricing, or a story you told on a sales call and did not agree to publish. Memory is for the public voice. If you cannot point at where a fact came from, it should not be in the caption.

### Offer

What you sell, in the sentence already on the homepage. Not a new slogan invented for the reel.

### Proof

A number, a screen, or a customer sentence you are allowed to show. If you do not have one, do not let the agent fake one.

### Never-say list

The adjectives you hate. Add to it every time a draft uses a word you had to delete.

### Which voice

Personal posts say I. Product reels say we, or they name the product. Mixing them by accident is how a founder post becomes an ad.

## What you still approve

You approve the moment, the line, and the publish. The agent can propose all three. It should not complete the last one. A reel that is 'already live' is a reel you cannot take back without a deletion, and deletions do not un-send the version someone saved.

Approval is a two-minute mute test, not a vibe check. Read the line out loud. If you would not say it in a demo, reject it. If the crop cuts off the button you are talking about, reject it. The agent gets better only if the rejection is specific enough to change the memory. 'Make it punchier' teaches nothing. 'Do not say we replace HubSpot' teaches the next run.

## When a simpler tool is enough

If you have one clip, you know the sentence, and you want to place the type yourself, an editor is faster than an agent. Agents earn their place across a month of footage, when remembering the voice is the hard part and cutting is the boring part. Buying an agent for a single caption you already wrote is overhead.

If you want a generated actor, a template dance, or a stock office, you are shopping for a different category. Say so in the buying conversation. An agent that stays on your footage will feel limited next to a product that invents a presenter. That limit is the point.

## Where Runmeg fits

Runmeg keeps the voice from your site and the socials you connect, and you can edit or delete that memory. ReelGen uses it when it captions a video you upload. You download the reels and post them yourself. It does not invent a presenter, and it does not publish. If all you wanted was a cut-down of a podcast with no marketing line, a clip tool that forgets you may be the smaller purchase.

## Questions

### Is an AI agent just a workflow with extra steps?

It is a workflow plus memory. Without the memory, the extra steps are a slower button. Ask to see the stored voice before you judge the reels.

### Can the agent post the reel after I approve it?

A product can be built that way. Runmeg is not. Approval here means you download a file you are willing to stand behind, and you publish it in the app you already use.

### What if the agent remembers something wrong?

Delete that line from the profile before the next run. Do not try to out-prompt a stored error. The stored sentence will win.

### Does the agent replace a video editor?

No. It replaces the blank page and the first pass at finding moments. Frame-by-frame control still belongs in an editor.
