# Reel caption examples

A useful caption is one claim that the clip already shows. Name the workflow, the limit, or the change. Do not add a metric that is not in memory. You still download the file and post it yourself.

A caption names what the viewer just saw. It is not a transcript, and it is not a slogan with no footage under it.

This does not send the email. It writes the video. You still press publish.

## The rule under all three

If the clip does not show it, do not write it. A clever line on the wrong footage is still the wrong video.
