Privacy Policy

This policy applies to visitors of our website, people who create a Meg account, people who complete onboarding, subscribers to a paid plan, and anyone who sends us a message through Contact. It applies regardless of whether you use Meg for a personal brand, a product, or both.

Meg is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Where a change is material, we may also note it in the product. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.

We collect information you give us, information created when you use Meg, and limited technical information needed to operate the service.

Account and profile. When you sign up or sign in we collect identifiers such as your name and email address. If you choose to continue with Google, we receive the account details Google shares for that sign-in. Authentication is provided by Firebase. We do not ask you to store a password in Meg itself.

Information you enter about your brand or product. This includes names, websites, descriptions, audience notes, tone, goals, and public social profile links you choose to add. You can edit this information in the product.

Public content you ask us to work with. If you connect public profile links, we may collect publicly available posts and related metrics from those sources so Meg can learn how you already write and can show you performance. We use Apify for this kind of public-data collection. We do not ask for your social-network passwords and we do not post to those networks as you.

Work created in Meg. Messages you send to Meg, drafts, calendar items, confirmations that something was published, leads or conversation suggestions, notes Meg stores as memory, and insights derived from your activity.

Billing. If you subscribe, payments are processed by Dodo Payments. We receive what we need to recognise your plan and credits (for example subscription status and billing identifiers). We do not receive or store your full card number.

Contact messages. If you use Contact, we store your name, email, and message so we can reply.

Technical data. We use essential cookies or similar technology to keep you signed in, and we keep ordinary server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and time) to operate, secure, and debug the service. We also use Google Analytics 4 and Firebase Analytics to see which pages and product features people use (for example chat, Spark, Hunter, checkout). Those tools receive standard usage data such as page path, device/browser type, and approximate location. We do not send your drafts, emails, or workspace content into analytics events. We do not use advertising cookies or sell lists to advertisers.

We use personal information to:

• create and secure your account, and keep you signed in
• provide the product: drafts, calendar, conversation suggestions, memory, analytics, and related features
• keep personal-brand work and product work separate when you use both
• process subscriptions, credits, and plan changes through Dodo Payments
• respond to Contact messages and support requests
• maintain security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations
• understand how the product is used so we can improve it

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the private content of your workspace to build a public dataset or to advertise to other people.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we typically rely on: (a) performing our contract with you (providing Meg); (b) our legitimate interests in running, securing, and improving the service, in a way that does not override your rights; (c) your consent, where we ask for it; and (d) compliance with law (for example retaining a billing record).

We share information with service providers who help us operate Meg, and only as needed for that purpose. They are not permitted to use your information for their own unrelated marketing.

The providers we rely on include:

• Firebase (Google) for authentication, to host product data, and (when enabled) Firebase Analytics.
• Google Analytics 4 to measure site and product usage so we can improve Meg.
• Dodo Payments for checkout, subscriptions, invoices, and related payment processing. Their own terms and privacy policy apply to the payment itself.
• Apify when we collect public posts or public conversations you have asked Meg to work with.

We may also share information if required by law, to protect Meg or other people, in connection with a merger or sale of the business (in which case this policy would still apply or you would be notified), or with your direction.

Meg does not publish, comment, or send messages on social platforms on your behalf. You decide what you copy and post.

We are based in India. Our providers may process information in other countries, including where Firebase, Dodo Payments, or Apify operate. Those countries may have different data-protection rules than your own. We use these providers because the product cannot run without them.

We keep account and workspace information for as long as your account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards if we need it for security, disputes, or legal records. Billing records may be kept for the period required by tax or payment-provider rules. Contact messages are kept so we can follow up and improve support. You can edit or delete much of your workspace data yourself inside the product (for example memory and content). You can also ask us, via Contact, to export or delete your account.

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to a hosted software product, including encrypted connections, access controls, and storing product data in Firebase rather than on end-user devices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can exercise many of these from inside Meg. For anything you cannot do in the product, use Contact and tell us what you need. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account holder.

You may close your account by contacting us. Closing an account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription with Dodo Payments; you should also cancel the subscription if you do not want further charges.

We use strictly necessary cookies or similar technology so that you can sign in and stay signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on this website. You can block cookies in your browser, but the product may not function correctly if essential cookies are disabled.

Meg may link to third-party sites (for example a social network or Dodo checkout). Their privacy practices are their own. This policy does not cover those sites.

For privacy requests, including access or deletion, use the Contact form on this website. Please include enough detail for us to find your account (typically the email you signed up with).
