Reels
AI that makes reels for my product
Short answer: Give the tool your product before you give it a video. That means the site, the offer in one sentence, and the words you already use in public. Then upload footage of the product doing the job. AI that has only seen a prompt will write a category reel. AI that has read the product can name the thing your buyer touches.
A reel for your product is specific to the thing you sell. A reel that could carry any logo is a reel for the template.
Give it the product, then the video
The order matters. If you upload a video first, the tool will caption whatever was said, including the aside, the old price, and the joke. If it already knows the offer, it can prefer the moment that matches the offer and write the line in the nouns on your site. Feed the product first. Use the video as evidence, not as the only source of truth.
The product brief is short on purpose. One sentence for who it is for. One sentence for what they get. One sentence for what you refuse to claim. A long brief is how contradictions sneak in. The site should agree with the brief. If the site says you integrate and the brief says you replace, fix that before any reel exists.
Product, in three lines Who: agencies that invoice when the call ends. What they get: the invoice goes out from the call notes, and it writes back to the CRM. We do not claim: that we replace the CRM, or that every team is live the same day. Video to upload after that The screen recording where the import finishes and the invoice sends.
What for my product means
It means a viewer who knows the category can tell which product this is without seeing the logo. The tell is a specific object: a column mapping, a named integration, a deadline your buyers have. Category words, 'platform,' 'solution,' 'AI-powered,' do not identify you. They identify the aisle.
It also means the proof is yours. Your UI, your customer if you have permission, your number. Stock offices and generated founders are for a product that does not want to be recognized. If you are proud of the thing you shipped, show the thing you shipped.
| Yours | Anyone's |
|---|---|
| Names the workflow the buyer has | Names the category |
| Shows your screen or your person | Shows a stock desk or a generated face |
| Uses a noun from your site | Uses unlock, seamless, game-changer |
| Matches a claim on the homepage | Upgrades the claim because it sounds better |
| You can send it to a paying customer | You would be embarrassed if they saw it |
What the tool still cannot know
It cannot know this week's priority unless you say it. The site lists twelve features. You might only want reels about the import. Say so. Otherwise you will get a tour of the whole product, and a tour is not a reel.
It cannot know what you are willing to show. A private beta, a customer's logo, a revenue number you said on a podcast by accident: those can be in the footage without being public. Your job is to withhold them. Do not expect a model to guess your confidentiality.
What you publish
You publish the files that still sound like the three-line brief after a mute test. You do not publish the batch because the render finished. Download them, read them next to the brief, and drop any line that drifted into the category aisle.
Then use the same brief for the post under the video. A specific reel with a generic caption teaches people to trust the picture and ignore the words, or the reverse. One offer, two shapes. If you would not paste the on-screen line into a sales email, it is not ready, no matter how clean the crop is. The email test is harsh on purpose. Sales emails are where exaggerated reels go to embarrass you. Send the line to yourself first. If you flinch, the buyer will too.
Where Runmeg fits
Onboarding reads your site and the public posts you connect, and stores a voice you can edit. ReelGen uses that when it captions a video you upload, so the reel is tied to the product instead of to a blank prompt. You download the files and post them. It does not invent a presenter to stand in for the product, and it does not publish. If your site is vague, the reels will be vague. Fix the sentence on the site before you blame the cut. A clear homepage is the cheapest improvement you can make to every future caption. Write the three lines, put them on the site, then upload the video.
